A sampling of North Atlantic Sea Nettles as rendered by Mela.
Pretty to look at, miserable to be stung. Mela’s family seems to have a staunch disbelief that if you go into water with jellyfish that you will be stung. Is it a rite of passage? She’s been stung every time at such places as the Choptank River, Rappahannock River and the Atlantic Ocean, each time to the cries of “Just go in!”
